What Essential ADAS collects through this website and the jobs shops send us, what we do with it, who sees it, and how to reach us about it. Short version: job information is used to do the job and document it, and it is never sold.
Effective September 26, 2026. This policy explains what information Essential ADAS LLC ("Essential ADAS", "we", "us") collects through essentialadas.com and in the course of providing calibration, alignment, diagnostic and programming services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Job and contact information you send us: your name, shop name, phone number, email address, shop city, pickup address, and anything you write in a form, email or text message.
- Vehicle information: year, make, model, VIN, mileage, RO or estimate number, the repair estimate you upload, and the scan data, calibration results, alignment measurements and photos we generate while performing the job.
- Website information: the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and your approximate location, collected through cookies and the analytics built into Squarespace, the platform that hosts this site.
How we use it
- To confirm, schedule, pick up, perform, document, deliver and invoice the jobs you send us.
- To answer your questions, send the rate card when you request it, and tell you about the status of a job, including by text message when you ask for text updates.
- To keep records of the work we performed, which manufacturer procedures, insurers and our accountants may require us to retain.
- To run and improve the website.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not market repair services to the owners of vehicles that shops send to us.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that help us operate: Squarespace (website hosting and form storage), email and text-messaging providers, the ADAS identification and manufacturer repair-procedure platforms we use to identify required operations, scan-tool and calibration-equipment software, accounting and payment processors. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Insurers, adjusters and DRP coordinators, when you or your customer's claim requires the documentation package for a job, or when you ask us to send the procedure behind an invoice line.
- Vehicle manufacturers' systems, to the extent a scan tool or programming session transmits the VIN and module data required to perform the work.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Text messages
If you check the "text me updates on this job" box or text us first, we will send text messages about that job to the mobile number you gave us. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or tell us by phone or email.
Cookies
This site uses the cookies Squarespace needs to run and the analytics cookies it provides so we can see how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How long we keep it
Job records, including vehicle information, scan data, calibration reports, photos and invoices, are kept for as long as we need them to support the work performed and to meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations. Website form submissions and messages are kept as long as they are useful for the purpose you sent them.
Security
Job records are stored in the systems of the service providers named above and in our own business systems, each with access limited to the staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us more personal information than a job requires.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you or your shop, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, by contacting us below. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the link in the message or by contacting us.
Children
This site and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
